We are proud supporters of the Rangely Panthers football team.
The Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation, with a Board of Directors of Rangely High School graduates, was created to honor the late Mike and Nick Lancaster who played football for the Rangely Panthers and both wore the #17 Jersey. They also earned All Conference Honors during their high school careers. Nick earned All-State Honors at the quarterback position-something his older brother was extremely proud of him for. Their mutual love of football was one of the many things they bonded over.
When Nick returned to Rangely to help coach his hometown Panthers in 2009, he was shocked to find a much different financial climate than the one he had experienced in his glory days. Instead, he found a program in much need of equipment, uniforms and no travel funds for its players and coaching staff. He found himself helping to raise funds and contributing from his own pocket for things that both the team and individual players needed.
After Nick's passing in 2017, the Nick Lancaster Football Memorial Fund was set up and in 2021 the Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation was established. The family has been blown away by all the love and support shown by those donating to the foundation and attending the events held in Nick’s name. It has provided much healing to his family, extended family and friends as well as put a positive spin on a heartbreaking event in our lives. There is no doubt in our hearts and minds that Nick would be extremely honored to be a catalyst for others to give to a program that he so dearly loved.
Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.
100% of your donations are used to provide for needs of the team and individual players
that the school has no budget for and create hardships for the player’s families.
